The guidelines for Japanese-Language-Proficiency-Test N4 certification are for the learner to be able to understand basic Japanese in everyday situations.

At the latter half of the beginner level, there are more things to learn, and it is not easy to learn the meaning and usage of words only in daily lessons.

In this book, 1000 words required to pass N4 of the Japanese Language Proficiency Test have been carefully selected and recorded, with many example sentences for each part of speech and category (Work, Buildings, Illness, etc.). Also included are 18 reading passages, so the learner can confirm how well he/she understands the words he/she has studied in the book.

In addition, the appendix also includes sections such as "When You Feel Ill" and "Protecting Yourself in a Disaster", so the learner can not only pass the exam but also learn the words necessary for daily life.
