Jibun no Kangae o Tsutaeru Sakubun Renshucho - Gaikoku ni Tsunagari no Aru Seito no Tame no Nihongo - The Writing Practice Book for Expressing One's Thoughts - Japanese for Students Connected with Foreign Countries -
This book is a writing material for junior and senior high school students receiving Japanese language instruction.
The goal is for students to acquire the “thinking process” needed to form their own ideas, and to be able to put them into coherent sentences.
Each lesson deals with a theme that is familiar to junior and senior high school students, such as “pop culture interests” and “favorite foods” and basically follows the five steps below:
Step 1: As a warm-up, students expand their ideas by discussing topics related to the assignment with other students.
Step 2: Think about what to write about while looking at examples and taking notes of what comes to mind.
Step 3: Think about the outline of their essay while organizing their notes.
Step 4: Write the actual essay according to the outline.
Step 5: Share their completed essay with others and exchange opinions.
In this way, by carefully following the steps, from finding ideas to assembling an essay and then presenting it, students will learn and develop the habit of organizing the information and thoughts in their head into ideas.
In addition, since the book is designed to be guided by examples, it can be used with confidence by students who are not good at thinking, or by supporters and teachers who are concerned about teaching. It is also recommended as a first step in developing "thinking skills" such as analytical and logical thinking skills.
Supplementary teaching materials include word lists (with translations in English, Chinese, Portuguese, and Spanish, in lesson order/alphabetical order), composition sheets, and support guides. Please use them together. (Currently in preparation. Scheduled to be published in the “Supplementary Materials" section below near the release date.)
*The writing themes in this teaching material are in line with Chugakusei no Nihongo Shakai Seikatsu-hen (Japanese for Junior High School Students: Social Life Edition), and when used in conjunction with this, you can proceed with your studies more effectively.
Target user: Junior and senior high school students with connections to foreign countries who receive Japanese language support
