The Points & Practice series allows students to prepare for exams in a short period of time, and this book is a collection of questions specifically aimed at those preparing for the Examination for Japanese University (EJU) Admission for International Students. In this book the listening comprehension and listening and reading comprehension questions are studied.

For EJU's listening and listening/reading comprehension questions, the student must choose the correct answer within a very short period of time. To do this, the student needs to instantly understand what is being asked and practice listening to the audio carefully. This book is structured so that the student, while practicing the questions, can learn strategies and important expressions for solving them.

This book consists of 12 chapters and a mock exam. In the first chapter, the student gains a general overview of the listening comprehension and reading/listening comprehension questions, in the second to sixth chapters the student solves listening comprehension questions, and in the seventh to eleventh lessons he/she solves listening/reading comprehension problems.

Each chapter deals with questions in the same format as the actual exam, and each one introduces “tips on how to solve a question” such as how to take notes and strategies for each type of illustrated question.

The listening comprehension questions teach the student the key points of how to listen while paying attention to the structure of what is being said, and the listening/reading comprehension questions teach the student the key points of how to read graphs and figures from scratch, so this book is perfect for exam preparation.

The twelfth and final chapter is a mock exam. Here the student will be able to answer the same number of questions as in the actual exam and in the same format, allowing him/her to review the points he/she has learned and to identify his/her weaknesses.
