This book is a kanji study aid designed to accompany Minna no Nihongo Shokyu I Third Edition Main Textbook.

Following the vocabulary and sentence patterns in the main textbook, the learner can study 218 frequently used kanji characters for daily life in a gradual, manageable way. Sixteen kanji characters are introduced on the “Kanji Sheet” for each lesson; after studying their forms and readings (both on-yomi [Chinese reading] and kun-yomi [native Japanese reading]), the learner reinforces his/her knowledge through reading and writing practice. In addition, the learner can check his/her progress with review tests covering every six to seven lessons, as well as a comprehensive test at the end of the book.

Every page has perforations, allowing learners to detach sheets individually for use or to store them separately. They are recommended not only for use during class but also for homework and tests.
