The JLPT Points & Practice series is a collection of questions and pointers to help the learner acquire the minimum skills required to pass the JLPT exam in a short period of time. In this book the learner will study N2-level characters and vocabulary.

The learner first tackles the questions in the questions part. If they don’t understand any of the questions, they can check the explanations and list part, and then memorizes N2-level vocabulary and kanji. By learning in this way, the learner’s existing knowledge will be organized, and their awareness, understanding, and memorization of unfamiliar vocabulary and kanji will proceed smoothly.

The vocabulary featured in the list part are the words that the learner needs to know/learn. Based on the analysis of various materials, the vocabulary has been selected as the words (approximately 950) most likely to appear in the exam. Approximately 270 kanji characters have been selected from the vocabulary to be learned, allowing the learner to study them efficiently at the same time as learning the vocabulary. The answers and explanations to the questions come with English, Chinese, and Vietnamese translations, and so the book can be used for self-study purposes.
