People who come to Japan to study or work may end up having problems during their stay in Japan, and be forced to give up on their career, including studying Japanese, further education, and employment. The underlying reason seems to be that people do not have accurate information about Japan's systems and rights, making it difficult for them to make correct decisions by themselves.

This book is a text that allows people who have come to Japan to work or study to think about life plans to achieve their goals, how to avoid risks they may encounter while in Japan, and how to deal with and seek advice when they get into trouble. This includes how to protect themselves and their loved ones from violence and harassment, reproductive health/rights (the right to decide for themselves whether or not to have children, when to have them, and how many children to have), as well as immigration status and labor-related laws that they should know when working in Japan.

It has been created using grammar and expressions that are easy for learners who have completed beginner-level Japanese to grasp and is structured so that it can be learned through interaction between teachers and learners.
